About Fruit Origin Controller
Fruit Origin Controller is an Indie/Alt Rock four-piece based in the Scottish highlands. Founded by James Mickel (Vocals, Rhythm Guitar) and Edmund Denman (Lead Guitar), they began playing funk infused rock, heavily inspired by their shared love of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and were shortly joined by Dylan Sinclair (Drums) and Luke Appleby (Bass Guitar), they began expanding their sound to encompass more influences including Death Cab For Cutie, Radiohead and Ben Kenney and Incubus. They began playing in their local area with the alternative rock/blues inspired band Calamin, at local pubs and other gigs. They released their debut album in October of 2018, titled "The Life of an Introvert", available on all major streaming platforms. Following this, they proceeded to release two singles, "Fifths and "A Lesson in Speed Talking". Luke Appleby proceeded to leave the band in order to focus on his education in university, and Blair Ross joined as the new bassist. They released the single "Dissonance" in March of 2020.
