Frans Elsen was a Dutch jazz pianist, vibraphonist and bandleader, born 28 May 1934 in The Hague, Netherlands; died 23 February 2011, also in The Hague. He played in many different jazz combos, including a number of incarnations of his own group: Trio Frans Elsen, Frans Elsen Quartet, Frans Elsen Quintet and Septet Frans Elsen.
