About Frankie Broyles

Frankie Broyles was born in Atlanta, Georgia. A year after graduating high school, he and school friends Stanley Vergilis, Brett Miller, and Woodbury Shortridge formed the garage rock band Balkans and released their self-titled debut in May 2011 before breaking up in February 2012. Since then, Broyles has released several solo works as well as contributed drums to Lotus Plaza, the project of Deerhunter guitarist Lockett Pundt. Broyles himself joined Deerhunter and worked with the band as a guitarist on their fifth studio album "Monomania," released in 2013.
