About Fools Dance

Fools Dance was a short-lived British rock band founded by Simon Gallup (bass, vocals) and Gary Biddles (vocals, keyboards) following Gallup's departure from The Cure in 1982. The other members of this band were Stuart Curran (guitar), Ron Howe (saxophone), and Pete Gardner (drums). This band enjoyed moderate success during their brief tenure together. However, most critics agreed that they were merely emulating The Cure, albeit not quite as good. The band broke up after Robert Smith (musician) asked Gallup to return to The Cure, which he did. They released two EP: 1. Fools Dance (1985) (Tope Hole Records) / The Priest Hole (1986) (Lambs To The Slaughter Records - Prism Records): 01. The Priest Hole 02. Happy Families Waiting (At The Skylab Landing Bay) 03. I'm So Many (Talk Talk) 04. Sa'Ha 05. The Don Diddy Song 2. They'll Never Know (1987) (Lambs To Slaughter - Prism) 01. They'll Never Know 02. The Collector 03. Empty Hours 04. The Ring
