About Flub

Flub is an American experimental death metal band formed in Sacramento, California in March of 2013 by guitarist Eloy Montes, vocalist Michael Alvarez, and drummer Jared Klein. Later, the band recruited bassist Charlie King and guitarist David Kloss to complete the lineup. Their debut EP, "Purpose", was released on June 30th, 2013. Flub's style involves the incorporation of several elements of many different genres of music (such as cumbia, jazz fusion and classical), giving the band its own distinct, yet familiar sound. After releasing debut album "Flub" and EP "Dream Worlds", the band announced that they would be breaking up in 2023. Vocalist Michael Alvarez was removed from the band in July of 2023 for purportedly suspicious behavior, followed by the band disbanding in August.
