About Flaming Mango
Flaming Mango is a ska band based in Olympia, WA. They formed in 2008 and members include Ryan Wilmott (Guitar), Cameron Smith (Guitar), Noah Harkin (Bass), Jeb Stuart (Trombone), Jason Leher (Saxophone), Charlie Robert Nowosielski Niemann (Drums), and Candace Leenheer (vocals). The band draws musical styles ranging from 3rd wave ska bands such as Streetlight Manifesto and Big D and the Kid's Table, 1st and 2nd wave ska, blues, and rock. They released a self-titled demo in 2009 and another recorded album in 2010. The band began as an acoustic quartet with two guitars, trombone and the then vocalist Cait Richards. Several band member changes took place and Flaming Mango played several shows as an instrumental band, harking to bands such as Booker T. & The MG's. Band member's solo work consists of guitarist Cameron under the name C. Hendrix, drummer Charlie as He Tripole and bassist Noah's work as a Night Doctor. More information about Flaming Mango and C.
