About Five Minutes For Myself
The story of Five Minutes for Myself began in the summer of 2006. When their old band made the decision to rest in peace, the singer Mirella and the drummer Tikku wanted to gather a new group. A group that was ready to try out something completely new. Tikku knew a guitar player called Joni and he joined the group right away. Then Joni ended up asking Miia to the band after jamming with her at a random house party. She was a great add to the group but after that it took 1,5 years to find the missing piece. Finally, Lari, a maniac for a bass player made the group complete and we gradually started discovering our own style. In the spring of 2008 FMfM recorded their EP at Mad Mix Studios in Kouvola. ”the 1st second” included three songs. The next EP ”Two Minutes Too Much” came out the next October. In April 2009 was the time for the third one ”Three Seconds After”. FMfM started performing live in the summer of 2008 and since then we have done a lot of shows and shared a lot of energy and sweat with the audience! During this fall and winter we've been in studio, making our first full-length album "Come See Us Alive!", which will include saucy rocking, flirty tunes, controlled wrangling and melancholic passion!
