About Fittonia
Hailing from Transylvania, FITTONIA brings a sound that weaves between fragility and destruction while dancing around the contemporary status quo with echoes from genres such as alternative, grunge and pop. Anchored in the theme of self reflection, the lyrical content explores personal trauma, addiction and burnout, issues that seem endemic in modern society, yet they do it in a detached, almost “padded walls room-way” with big 80s inspired choruses and bubbly verses. In 2024, vocalist Brândușa Brumbea (OverBurn) joined the Cluj-Napoca-based metalcore act FITTONIA, igniting the stage as they performed in the Romanian region alongside other acts within the scene such as E-an-na, Carousel, Reverse the Moment, and Unity of Opposites. We now finally have the debut single with Brandușa – “HANAHAKI,” revealing bittersweet vulnerability through lyrics of self-sabotage and a toxic relationship with herself.
