About Finn Daniel
LATEST UPDATE BY FINN 28/02 - Hullo, thanks very much for visiting this page, much appreciated. I'll update this bit as regularly as poss with the latest info. Thanks to all of you who were listening to my songs on Last.fm before I even got here, was a very cool surprise. An instinctive musician who started out as a classically trained piano player, Finn then embraced the acoustic guitar as the perfect partner for writing and performing his deeply personal songs. Having paid his musical dues in open mic’s and local support slots, by the time he was 19 Finn was booking and playing his own gigs across the country. This strong development trail has found Finn in some great musical company. With his career to date having seen him sharing concert bills with breakthrough artists like Duke Special, Nizlopi, and Beth Rowley, Daniel has clocked up a number of appearances at leading locations on the London music scene such as Indig02 at the 02 Arena, The Borderline, The Bedford, and Regal Rooms. Outside the metropolis he has developed a strong local following, playing at well known venues such as Worcester’s Marrs Bar, and Thekla, Bristol. The final weeks of 2008 saw the single-handed creation of Finn’s independent record label Stickman Records and the release of his self-published debut the Settle EP, 8 songs of soothingly harmonic and finely crafted beauty. Featuring production and masterful string arrangements from Nizlopi’s John Parker (a veteran of over a decade’s success on the indie music scene), Settle is a captivating and attention grabbing demonstration of a young artist’s potential being fulfilled. The EP is already being talked about in the blogging community on sites like Slowcoustic, and is also receiving support through being a regular fixture on the homepage of his online shop providers Arkade.com. Embracing web 2.0’s liberation of musicians, Finn prides himself on offering as much content as possible for those who make the effort to come and see it. His official website, MySpace, Facebook, and YouTube are full to bursting with free tracks, promo and live videos, and all the latest news in the words of the artist himself.
