About Filmstrip

Filmstrip is a three- piece rock band from Cleveland, Ohio. Brothers Dave Taha (guitar, vocals) and Matt Taha (bass, vocals) met Nick Riley (drums) in elementary school. They began playing in bands together in junior high and continued through high school. The group reunited in 2009 under the name filmstrip, and have continued to work together ever since. Their sound has evolved from the thrashing guitars and post-punk slacker psychedelia of 2010's "Everything Can Change", Filmstrip's self- released debut LP, to a more diverse palette with 2012's "Feeling Like Infinity" (Mistake by the Lake Tapes), which features their usual post-grunge future-punk, as well as two acoustic tracks, and a live version of "Should Have Seen It Coming". Filmstrip selected the acoustic tracks from two dozen demos yet to be recorded by the full band. The anticipated sophomore effort was finally released online in April 2012, after several US tours, including a trip to the Sundance Film Festival, and a tour in support of Co. (Brown/Fat Possum/Exit Stencil).
