About Fifty Stars Anger

All coming from different bands of the Montreal area, the union of Fifty Stars Anger brought together various sources of talent. Our first official jam took place in none other than our drummer Chuck’s basement and we started playing together officialy January 17, 2003. We spent three months of intense political and socialist punk-rock writing before being able to put our efforts into play and prove to the underground what we’ve really got. Much of our drive and creative insight is due to our greatly appreciated influences: A.F.I, Anti-Flag, Bad Religion, Good Riddance, Nofx and Rise Against. Since our first few days playing in the basement, Fifty Stars Anger has come a long way. We’ve had the honor of playing in over 100 shows with some of the best punk, hardcore, ska, and metal bands. That includes: GFK, A Dying Race, Ghoulunatics, Anonymus, Belvedere, Mute, Break The Silence, Closet Monster, Nitro Minds, Overbass, Pridebowl, Bald Vulture, The Reason and many more. September 26, 2003, after twelve hours of recording at “Studio le Garage”, our first four songs EP entitled “Everything we do is for our country” was in the bag. January 2005 we've recorded our first full lenght cd entitled "The protester's hymn". We also appear on many Canadian and European cd compilation like "Let the battle begin" in Canada (Fight the mentality record) and "Punk against fascism" in Pologne.
