About Felix Maginn

Irish-born Felix Maginn (Belfast, 18 January 1970) is a Netherlands-based musician, best known as the singer, guitarist and songwriter of Amsterdam rock band, Moke (2005-present). Before starting Moke, Maginn was the frontman of another Amsterdam-based guitar band heavily influenced by Britpop: Supersub (1996-2002). Maginn was raised in Catholic West-Belfast and witnessed religious violence first hand. Many of his lyrics for Supersub and Moke are about his Catholic/Belfast/Irish identity. Maginn sometimes performs as a solo artist and, in early 2012, wrote and recorded music for a Dutch-language National Geographic documentary entitled, 'De geboorteplaats van Titanic' ('The birthplace of Titanic'). The six numbers could be downloaded from National Geographic's website.
