About Feces Pieces
Beginning in late November 1994, Feces Pieces had built up a following within Boston's underground music scene. Brought together by fate (Actually, they met at school), these five inner-city outcasts joined forces to create a sonic weapon; equipped to wage the war against extreme boredom, severe constipation, and teen suicide. Combining elements of aggressive Thrash and Death Metal with bass-heavy grooves, and a street-style Hardcore attitude, their trademark sound is made complete by the addition of two lead vocalists, Chris D. and Tom P. Feces Pieces are an all-out Tour de Force; pummeling their audience with a barrage of mesmerizing dual vocal trade-offs; a brutal guitar tone, piled with multiple layers of thick, heavy sludge that could still cut through the mix better than the best set of Ginsu Knives; and a bass and double-kick drum assault-team rhythm section, fighting it out amongst themselves. Having been signed to Curve Of The Earth, Boston's finest independent record label, Feces Pieces had released their self-titled debut CD in late 1997; an aural attack on the senses, hitting the unsuspecting listener like a severe case of Montezuma's Revenge, leaving a burning sensation in the pit of the stomach, and an overwhelming desire to come back for more. Their sophomore effort, "The Pursuit Of Heaviness" was unleashed in January 2000, to the acclaim and praise of fans and critics alike. Over the due course of time, however, some of the band members had decided to pursue other creative interests; thus placing the status of Feces Pieces on indefinite hiatus. More recently, there have been rumors circulating about the possibility of an upcoming reunion. But eventually, the band does intend to release their long-overdue third diatribe, containing their final testament to mankind's depravity. Going above and beyond the call of nature, Feces Pieces have always been a major force to be reckoned with. This band truly has their sh-t together!
