About Fatma Mehreliyeva
Fatma Mehreliyeva (04.06.1926 - 04.01.2000) was a singer (Lyrical soprano) and an honored artist of Azerbaijan (1960). She started her creative activity with an ensemble "Sazchi gizlar" (1940, "Girls playing saz") later became the soloist of the ensemble. The performance of the song "Shefget badjisi" by U,Hadjibeyov made her famous. Songs performed by Fatma in period of the Great Patriotic War are included into the gold fund of Azerbaijan National Radio. She played the role of Telli of the film "Arshyn Mal Alan" (1945). She performed a number of Azeri mugams with a great skill and was a unique performer of "Keskeshikeste".
