About Falco subbuteo
Falco Subbuteo is a free improvisation duo formed in Yorkshire in 2007 by Gwilly Edmondez and Val Persona . The duo explores the tension between Val’s acoustic violin and Gwilly’s electronic collage of dictaphone, sampler (SU10), Kaoss Pad, synthesizers, turntable and oscillators. More recently, they have additionally negotiated Gwilly’s incorporated use of voice and acoustic guitar. They perform with bird masks made by Jill Lorrison. Falco have toured extensively in the UK, including performances at King’s Place and Café Oto. Their music has been broadcast on WFMU, Brooklyn’s Free 109.1, Resonance FM.
