FMW was a renegade Japanese hardcore wrestling promotion that led the way for such promotions as ECW, W*ING, IWA JAPAN and BJPW. They were fronted by a very charismatic mad man by the name of Atsushi Onita. Along with japanese legend, Tarzan Goto, Onita wowed crowds with his shows by bringing in martial artists to fight wrestlers and using gimmick matches such as electrified cages and bunk house brawls. FMW was to have died as of 2002 when the promotion split into two. It spawned such legends as Hayabusa, Mr GANNOUSUKE, Mike Awesome, Masato Tanka and many more.
