About Enslave the Creation
youtube | facebook ENSLAVE THE CREATION is a technical, progressive Death Metal Band based out of Reno, Nevada. Formed by Mike Stewart and Eric Marks after the demise of their previous band EXISTENCE in 2008, the welcome addition of 19-year-old guitarist Cris Portugal in 2009 solidified the strings section of the group. Practicing non-stop on average of six to ten hours a day for the next year, the trio had much difficulty finding drummers and vocalists that could meet the challenge. In early 2011, with drum machine tracks programmed by guitarist Mike Stewart, the trio decided to push forward and play live in search of a drummer and vocalist that shared their passion and dedication, but were fortunate enough to find the amazingly talented 20 year old Jared Klein on drums and asked him to join them full time. The next six months were spent rehearsing in living rooms and DYI studios until the group acquired professional rehearsal space at Musicians Rehearsal Center in Sparks, Nevada. ENSLAVE THE CREATION immediately began playing live as often as possible in their hometown of Reno, and also began to book out of state shows: pushing the musical boundaries of Death Metal through their relentless hard work, devotion, musical studies and practice. Although the band had only been together as a full group for six months, they were already establishing themselves as a musically talented force on the west coast, opening for and playing with several national bands such as: All Shall Perish, Carnifex, P.D.P., Cursed, Fleshgod Apocalypse, Huntress, Decrepit Birth, Broken Hope, Obituary, Conducting From The Grave, EXMORTUS, Theories, The Contortionist, Fallujah, Catalepsy, Pathology, Endrah, Gary Busey Amber Alert, Hard of Heart, Nightmare In The Twilight, The Kennedy Veil, Early Graves, Buried At Birth, The Devastated, Each Of The Days, Ampora, Venkman, In Defense, VX36, Jean Grey and Psychosomatic. ENSLAVE THE CREATION studies music theory heavily and continues to practices relentlessly, both as a group and as individuals. The band released a DVD of their October 2011 performance at The Knitting Factory in Reno, in January 2012. May 10th, 2014, Enslave The Creation released 3 of the 6 songs off of their self produced debut cd, "Towards The Sounds Of Chaos" and recorded their second HD DVD of their cd release show at The Knitting Factory in Reno, Nevada. The band continues to tour and play extensively in support of their music. The band is 100% self produced, recorded and filmed. E.T.C. is currently seeking a full time lead vocalist.
