About Emily Ann Anderson & Bryan Allan Melandez
Emily Melander and Bryan LeSuer started recording songs together in 2006. The songs were based off of poems that Emily wrote. She recorded them onto a tape player then showed them to Bryan, who improvised accompanying parts on mandolin and guitar and engineered new recordings in his house with good equipment. The resulting songs are personal, sincere, and earnest illuminations--walking in the foothills, floating over the ocean, remembering childhood. Currently, Bryan studies philosophy and religion at Utah Valley University and plays in a punk rock band, “…”. Emily lives and works in Iowa City and continues to write songs.
