About Emanuel Kania

Emanuel Kania (born 26 March 1827 in Uszycach , d. March 16 1887 in Warsaw ) - Polish composer, pianist, organist and music critic. As a pianist he has performed in many Polish cities and abroad. He was also a piano teacher. He was educated in Wroclaw Carl Schnabel , Wroclaw pianist and piano builder. He also worked as an organist in Wroclaw St. Maciej , where today is dedicated to Emanuel Kani plaque. In 1853 he settled in Warsaw, since 1869 has been professor of the Institute of Music. He was a well-known music critic and reviewer, expert work of Frederic Chopin . His music reviews he published in the journals "Daily Courier" and "ears". As a composer remained strongly influenced by Chopin. His compositions have enjoyed success in his time and was issued by a reputable publishing house music. Kania has left a number of works for piano-style parlor, as nocturnes , romance, fight , Masuria , polonaise , etude . He also wrote music for vaudeville John Cantius Gregorowicz Fri Snare home (ver 1860 ) and songs (including the dream to the words of Vladimir Wolski and Dola to the words of Kazimierz Brodzińskiego ).
