About Ellenseges Gomboc
Ellenséges Gombóc is a studio project of ex-members of The Sea Charmer (Petr Pádivý, Lukáš Slavík), Point2Point (Milan Mátl) and Psychic (Vein Shadowed, Milan Malík) that was established back in 2016. Lukáš Slavík (guitar) and Petr Pádivý (guitar) met again in the winter 2016, after disbanding The Sea Charmer, to think a brand new project up. The first idea was to found a band combining grindcore with some unique non-metal elements, in order to materialise the energy, madness and appetite for making music that had been locked up in these two blokes for a year or so. Thus, Ellenséges Gombóc was brought to it's calorie-abounding life. It took, however, almost two years to finish the first effort called "Six six six unwillingly given figs" with eleven tracks of an ingenious culinary devastation. A shrewd move was to address Vein Shadowed, a vocalist of Slovak progressive metallers Psychic who's been responsible for doing most of the vocals (together with Milan Mátl, Julie Pádivá and Petr Pádivý) and has written all the lyrics. He's also breathed a fresh leguminous vigour in the project. Ellenséges Gombóc (Deadly dumpling in English) boldly blends grindcore, death metal, black metal, heavy metal, punk, hardcore, mathcore, funky, latin, jazz, pop, balkan brass music, chanson, and hip hop to create a brand new and unique soundscape, best described as "food metal" - for all the lyrics completely deal with food, cooking, avocados and spuds. The debut album named "Six six six unwillingly given figs" is to be released on Dec 1st, 2017. A plenty of guests have contributed on the album, though - for instance extremely talented Jakub Hubička (Liquid Space 9) - who did a fabulous guitar solo for "Pickle Mafia", Radek Vorlíček and Milan Vondrák who are responsible for the brass section (trumpet, barytone saxophone) and accordion, Marek Valentíny (bass guitar on various tracks) and Julie Pádivá (female vocals). Last but not least to be mentioned is the "Born to be Milan" commando, namely Milan Mátl at United Cowdom studios who's been in charge of the complete visual conception and first stage production (recording, edit, pre-mix), hints and great ideas and Milan Malík at the phenomenal M2 recording studio, responsible for final production, mixing and mastering of the aforementioned album.
