About Eliphas Levi
Eliphas Levi was a visual kei indie band from Japan, signed to the Key Party label (mainly produced by H.L.Euro, SPEED-iD leader). Their sound is old styled gothic rock reinterpreted through the lens of Japanese visual kei, with some harsh fast drumming and eerie and interesting basslines. Their music is also characterized by the large use of keyboards, with symphonic and gothic atmospheric melodies. The band's lineup included Kei on vocals, Shuri on guitar, synth, and programming, Camus on bass, and Kyouka on drums and percussion. There was also a support keyboardist, Rui. The name Eliphas Levi was taken from a 1800s French occultist and magician (born Alphonse Louis Constant).
