About Elif Gülin Soğuksu
Elif Gülin Soğuksu is an electroacoustic composer, sound artist, performer, and researcher born in Istanbul and currently living in Berlin. She recently completed her master's degree at the Institute of Sonology in The Hague. Elif is inspired by the fleeting behavior of the imagination in sound; her compositional practice is based on capturing the sounds of the mind. She essentially explores the human voice as a potent factor in the creation of mentally generated sounds. Her electroacoustic pieces and live performances bridge algorithmic approaches, including voice-controlled live electronics and creative coding, digital processing, acousmatic music, and spatial sound.
