About El Raccoon

El Raccoon were an alternative rock band from Hampshire, UK. Formed in 2006 as 'The Maddisons' by school friends Harry Burgess, Charlie Brinkley, Rob Searl and Nathan Griffiths, they drew influence from QOTSA, Manic Street Preachers and Cave-In. They received praise for their energetic live performances and the lyrical content of their songs. El Raccoon released two EP's in their lifespan; 'El Raccoon' in 2009, and 'Breakfast at Serendipity's' in 2010. The band opted to incorporate a more power pop influenced sound in late 2010 and rebranded as 'Sweetheart'.
