About EXUVIATE

Exuviate was a technical brutal death metal band from Long Island, New York. Forming in Holbrook in 1993, the band's original lineup consisted of Ray Holmes (bass, vocals), Tom Mcsherry (guitar), Rich Hervey and Matt Hallock (drums). They recorded an unreleased one-song demo "Eviserating Anthropophagous" in that same year. Three demos were released under the name Sanguinary Carnage, "Immortally Arisen" in 1993, "Blackest Blood" in 1998, and a 4-song demo tape in 1996. The band reformed under a new lineup in 1999, consisting of April Taylor (vocals), Eric Sandalic (bass), Gabe Madsen (drums), Doug Randazzo and Sam Lara (guitars). They released a self-titled full-length album in 2000, before the band continued on as Grotesqueuphoria in 2001.
