Duh O.V.E.R.G A N G started as a studioproject in 2004. Members are: Mike DeCourt: guitar, MIDI, voice (Th3 mOOnSOunD V3ktOR , PANIC Missed, and ex-PANIC, dutch punkband 1976-1979 PANICDutch); Frank Verheij: keyboards, voice, guitar (ex - Style Detectives, 1997); Sandy Munro: guitar, voice; They joined to construct their own songs, text, sound and ultimately their own album “Hot Flushes” in 2008. Influences are broad: Zappa, The Sex Pistols, Jimi Hendrix, The Damned, PANIC (Dutch), The Police, Style Detectives, The Incredible Stringband, The Kinks, The Who, Oasis, The Verve. But also J. Cash, Cat Stevens, Air, Lennon & McCartney, CSNY, The Band, B. Dylan, L. Cohen, Boston, Television, Santana, Roger McGuinn....etc.. And with the modern electronic means of MIDI and Cubase, weeks of recording, processing and mixing were spend on scheme's, bridges, sounds, vocals, solo's, in between the consumption of cheese and beer. The songs vary, depending on the member who brought them in. Alternative Rock, Balad, Powerpop, Reggae, Americana, Country-Rock, Emotronic. Subjects also vary. Bad breaks, good breaks, being hip, getting new hip, lust, love, work, retirement, taking, giving, warful, peaceful, hiring, firing, it all explodes into your lap! Emotion, Emotion, Emotion.
