About Dreamwire

Dreamwire is an indie, progressive four piece band from Las Vegas. Formed in July 2009, the group employs various dynamic rhythms from crashing high’s, to silence that fills the room. Their atmospheric guitars, whimsical piano melodies, and gentle vocals, evoke an aspect of memory and space. Known for their unique stage performance, Dreamwire creates a multi-sensory experience using stunning visuals, props, dancers, and other performance artists. Amber Corby from Kona Hawaii began her singer/songwriter career in 2005 when she moved to Las Vegas. Growing up her ambition was dancing, though she harbored an appreciation of fine arts. She later discovered her calling was music. Influenced by artists Mazzy Star, Coldplay, Enya, and Cat Power; her blend of vocal and lyrical content give a stark contrast to the band’s sound. Guitarist/Keys Nathan Geving started playing music at a young age in Spokane, Washington. He began playing in bands while living in San Francisco where he polished his musical prowess. His musical range began with hardcore punk and evolved into ambient, progressive/electronic rock. Aside from being a musician, he is an internationally recognized sculptor and mixed media artist. Bass player Joshua Stuart began playing music in 1998 in Seattle. His musical influences range from rock bands Sublime, Deftones and Tool, to hip hop, R&B, and Jazz. Aside from music, he works as a sound engineer in recording studios, and with sound-reinforcement. Upon moving to Las Vegas he joined Dreamwire, bringing a pulse that bridges the rhythm to the melody. James Leslie, originally from Burbank California, has played in numerous bands throughout the US since 1988. His intensity brings an emotionally raw sound to the band, with dynamics that provide a structure. His influences include Led Zeppelin, Blur, and The Cure. The band is celebrating their debut release self titled album, “Dreamwire”, and is currently working on their sophomore album. Trying to break away from traditional bands, they play secret shows in abandoned warehouses, rooftops, and the vacant desert. Recognizing a cultural/artistic deficit in Las Vegas, they act as a conduit between art and music; they are creating their own scene from the graveyard.
