About Dr Octopus
Dr Octopus were an Australian seven-piece ska band hailing from the Gold Coast. Though primarily noted as ska, their music was quite diverse and incorporated influences from rock, swing, rockabilly, and even hardcore. The band was known for their energetic live performances and had developed a strong following of both local and overseas fans. In May 2008 the band announced they would no longer be performing together and had parted ways.
