About Dr Das
Aniruddha Das aka Dr Das is a bassist, producer and remixer. With his ‘dubnoiz’ productions, he positions his emotive bass melodies centre stage, taking his lead from 70s Jamaican dub, but setting them against shifting layers of bit-crushed percussion. He is bassist and founding member of the Asian Dub Foundation and also a long time producer with independent label Indigenous Resistance (IR). His second collaboration with India's Word Sound Power "Blood Earth Project/Dr Das Remixes" will be released March 2014. His second solo album “Preparing 4 War” has just been released, a follow up to 2006’s “Emergency Basslines.”
