Doublebass is a band which was founded in the early beginning of 2007 in Germany by two young musicians. At the beginning, the band just wanted to make a parody of death metal but later decided to concentrate on making "real" music. Typical for their music are the Doublebass or sometimes even so called "Quadrobass". They wanted to separate from other bands and called their style of playing "Double Metal", which makes sure that the doublebass is an important part in their music. Soon after releasing their first album "Nö sleep til Doublebass" (which is available in a limited edition as well), they decided to do a new album, completely filled with cover versions of famous songs. This album does not only contain metal songs, but techno, country and hip hop as well. In June they announced that they would release a new album soon, featuring songs like “Violent Motherf*****”, “27 dead people (lying in the ground)” and “O~M~S”.
