About Dominique Maurice

Dominique is a uniquely soulful singer, talented songwriter and guitarist. She is a Writing Full Member of the Australasian Performing Right Association (APRA), a Member of the Australian Songwriters Association (ASA) and a Member of the Australian Christian Artists Network (ACAN). Dominique began singing and playing guitar at the age of 7 and is a seasoned veteran of live performance. A blues diva, whilst living in Canberra she formed Hot Property which soon gained a reputation over their five years as Canberra’s hottest blues band as well as their hardest working! Since returning to live in Sydney in 2002, Dominique has performed with a range of Sydney’s in demand musicians and line-ups including party band the Surf Dogs and blues with Code Blue. With her solo career she secured a number of residencies and has also performed regularly as a member of a number of duo’s and trio, Trinity. During 2004 Dominique recorded her first gospel album – God’s Glory featuring 12 of her original compositions, one of which, “Hold Me” was selected by the Australian Songwriters Association as a finalist for the Songwriter Of The Year (2005). Dominique has traveled with bands to Thailand and Singapore for corporate work and some pub work and has also performed solo in Portland, Oregon USA Ever evolving, Dominique’s early music was "folksy" then rock oriented, she moved to blues with Hot Property and now finds she is leaning toward country blues.
