About Doly
Doly are a self-proclaimed "Techno Punk" band originating from Yokohama, Japan. The band originally consisted of two guitarists and one bassist, but currently consists of Koichiro (guitar/programing), and Masuya`Nbass (bass/vocal). The two current members had been classmates in high school, but only decided to form the band after coincidentally meeting up at a 1996 Atari Teenage Riot show in Tokyo. Doly had been signed to Sonic Dragolgo's label, Hyper Rich from 1996 to 2001, at which point Sonic Dragolgo moved to the UK and converted his sound to electro-pop. Doly "named [themselves] after the first cloned sheep Dolly, changed the spelling a little."
