Dorante (Silent E) Johnson aka DJ better known for his stage name Doller Da Dustman is a Grime MC, respected in his genre of music. He is of Jamaican Caribbean descent and is known for his prolific lyrical ability and creative rhyming patterns, the name doller da dustman has many meanings 1) being the contradiction of the two words dollar meaning wealth dustman meaning poor. 2) The improvement in the way of his life 3) dustman being a lyrical cleaner. Doller made his name with his notorious collective cold blooded on heat, axe, rinse and other pirate stations, he could get involved in after the collective had good recognition in the underground circuit he started to create his own personal fan base by compiling his single tracks which lead to enormous feed back which lead to many un official compilation cd’s, the growing buzz of him and his collective made music seem true to him, to follow the path to his dream. Originally from Bounces Road, lower Edmonton (N9) London where he grew up with his mother and learnt the street living mentality which is expressed within his music, he enjoyed MCing before MCing was a fashionable cult and used to enjoy to play football and parade the streets of north London, growing up with his crew members before music, his peers where through primary school, secondary school, and from the street all sharing the same dream which was to succeed. Doller attended Eldon primary school then Kingsmead secondary school in Enfield, where he learnt himself more and grew to realise that he had an actual passion for the MCing art, making tapes with young time spars was the starting point to his music career often making food tech a music lesson by banging on the table and MCing with class mates. Even during playing football he would MC when he never had the ball. In the the time Doller and his crew was coming up the respect and popularity of north London MCs was not grasped the way they should’ve been in result had him and his collective work twice as hard. Cold Blooded broke barriers and respectively made paths for other north London MCs. After finishing school Doller attended city of Westminster college to study sound engineering, after managing to gain 1 AS level at sixth form. During that period his music dream started to get closer to him by a heavy growth of a fan base for him and his crew on underground pirate stations. During this time he gradually moved to his childhood at Roman Road Bow (E3) East London he usually went to stay there from a baby at weekend, school terms, and when his mother travelled back to Jamaica by commuting from east London to North London. Because of this he built strong relationships with people from both areas and always remembers his roots in Edmonton where he was born at north middle sex hospital and graduated to both parts of city n guilds 1 2& 3. Doller saw major publicity when he was featured on MTV Base night spot adverts alongside other grime MCs. This was another spark for the talented performer and at this time he working alongside the musical crew The Movement pushing himself as an individual and his group Cold Blooded. Doller Da Dustman was now being featured on Logan Samas Kiss 100 programme legal radio station. This exposed him more, this lead to him respectively having his own space in the grime scene.
