About Dj Mono
He has been involved in the Polish electronic and organic music scene for 30 years. He has presented almost every genre in his career. Currently, musically, he does not lock himself into one trend, he is constantly combining - mixing conventions, tempos and genres. He does not like boring passages and bland sets. He plays all over Poland from the sea to the Tatra Mountains - at club, film, sports, exhibition and performance events (including Miller Fresh, NuJazz and Funk Festival, Basketmania, BeachSoccer Tour, Red Bull Kapsel Trophy, HGW (Wrocław) and Fresh Stuff ASP (Łódź) exhibitions). As a protoplast and co-founder of the Polish broken and bass music scene, he recently appeared in the Krytyka Polityczna anthology titled. "30 years of the Polish techno scene". Searching for different forms, he found himself in Austria's PE!Music, Lodz's Klinika Pozytywnych Wibracji, Burning Lion Kolektive and Sonic Trip, Krakow's Slow Motion Project and Respecta Kru. He was a resident of Ampstrong in Zakopane, CLUB07 in Cracow and clubs in Łódź (Bagdad, Kontrasty, Jazzga, Niebostan). He could often be heard on RadioBIS in the programme Beatblender and Łódź Night Trans on Radio Łódź, as well as in online broadcasts. 2006 brought him his first two visits abroad to Germany for the EssenStadt Festival and to Berlin's Icon club for the Recycle series party alongside Black Sun Empire. In 2007 he joined RESPECTA KRU as a permanent member, which enabled him to conquer the popularity of jungle, dubwize and dubstep in Poland and Europe. In 2010, two releases on CD (Respecta Sounds and Rub'A'Dubwise) were released by Respecta Records. In addition to this, the first Polish jungle 10" vinyl disc was also released with an artist of twenty years' standing - the American R.A.W. In 2011, the originator and co-organiser of VChamps - the Polish championship of DJs using new mixing and live act gadgets or turntables, with the participation of, among others, stars of world turntablism - Kid Koala, Qbert and Craze. Until 2020, he can be caught every Wednesday on the waves of the Internet ( http://mixlr.com/differentbeats/ ) in an electronic version, and he presents his organic muse with guests from all over Poland in Lodz's Niebostan - incessantly for 10 years on cyclical FUNKOSTAN dance parties. Recently, together with DJ Matyz, he has been a part of the line-up of Radiospacja radio https://radiospacja.pl/ - a child of the legendary Radiostacja. There they host the programme MONOCYKL - every night from Wednesday to Thursday, from 11pm to 1am. He has played at thousands of events where he supported, among others, DubFx, Freestylers, Dub Pistols, Andy C, Hype, Hardfloor, Dark Globe, Josh Wink, Urszula Dudziak, Drummatic Twins or DJ Zinca, Black Sun Empire, Noisia, Pendulum, Baron. He has been heavily involved in the music industry as a graphic designer for many years - author of hundreds of well-known posters, logos and record/club releases as well as creator of the 1st International Club Poster Exhibition and co-founder of www.partyprint.pl. He designed, among others, the first Polish vinyl release of d'n'b music, the logo of Sonic Trip, Moonshine Recordings or Mix'n'Trix. He has collaborated on a permanent basis with clubs all over Poland - including Sfinks, Ampstrong, Cube II, Krzysztofory and Prozak.
