About Dj II Real
Dj II Real, real name is Neil Christian Wilks. Born 27th November 1971 to 15th June 2009. Sadly Dj 2 Real passed away from blood poisoning from an open cut. Dj II Real, spelt with 2 Roman numeral 'I'. The name originated from his obsession with Real to Real tapes, the first audio magnetic tape technology. Hours was spent, cutting and arranging this magnetic tape to create mixed music of the time. His older brother, brought a technic 1200, back in the early days of acid house at the late stage's of the 1980's. This then sparked the start of a love affair he would live, breath and eat. Neil was instrumental in studio production, the use of the drum machine, mastering the akai sampler with efficiency. The creation of DJ II Real grew with this love of things jungle, hardcore and old skool. There's many stories to repeat, I'm his brother, his manager and a friend. I have just found this site and am really unprepared to really go into detail. I shall return.
