About Dina Bolshakova
Dina Bolshakova was born in Tomsk, Russia. In 1992 she received her first cello lessons at a music school, from 2001 to 2005 she studied at the St. Petersburg Music College. Dina continued her training at the UdK Berlin, initially with Prof. Catalin Ilea and since 2008 with Prof. Konstantin Heidrich. In February 2014, she completed her concert exam with distinction. She attended master classes with Frank Helmerson, Wolfgang Boettcher, David Geringas, Ivan Monighetti, Ralph Kirschbaum, Jens-Peter Maintz and Bernard Greenhouse, among others; took part in various music festivals, e.g. B. at HARMOS Festival in Porto (2010) and Encuentro Santander (2011), IMS Prussia Cove (2013), ISA 2014, Lucerne Festival Academy (2016) and played chamber music with Zakhar Bron, Ingolf Turban, Wilfried Strehle, Radovan Vlatkovic, Claudio Martinez Mehner, among others. The cellist was repeatedly the winner of both soloist and chamber musician in national and international competitions, e.o. 3. Prize at the Domenico Gabrielli Cello Competition in Berlin (2007), special prize at the International Bucchi Competition (2011, Rome). As a soloist, she played, among other things, the cello concerto by A. Dvorak with the Baden-Baden Philharmonic and the Philharmonie Samara, Emil Hartmann's cello concerto with Havel Symphoniker (December 2014, Berlin). During her studies, Dina was a scholarship holder of the Paul-Hindemith Society, the Villa Musica Rhineland-Palatinate Foundation and the Ottilie-Selbach-Redslob Foundation. The cellist gained orchestral experience in the Tampere Philharmonic Orchestra (Finland), where she had a temporary contract as a deputy solo cellist and with the Augsburg Philharmonic. Since December 2022, Dina has been a deputy solo cellist at the Munich Symphony Orchestra. After her studies, Dina founded the duoUNRUH and Ardis Trio. This was followed by concerts in Germany, Austria, Russia, Greece and other countries. The projects are funded by the German Music Council and the Musikfonds Berlin.
