About Morlockk Dilemma
Morlockk Dilemma, real name Falko Luniak (born 11 September 1981 in Leipzig), is a German rapper and music producer from Leipzig who most recently released his work via the Berlin independent label Spoken View. He grew up in the Grünau district of Leipzig and was exposed to graffiti culture at an early age. After moving house in 1997, he first became interested in rap music. In the following years he wrote his first lyrics and joined the Leipzig crew NahOstK (NOK) in 2000, which he remains associated with. Together with this crew, he sold early demo tapes without formal distribution. In 2003 he released his first solo tape, "Egoshooter". Luniak studied journalism and wrote his bachelor’s thesis on the interdependence between media and culture using the German hip-hop scene as an example. Under the later founded independent label Snuffpro, Morlockk Dilemma released the album "Index Finest" in 2006, which brought him nationwide attention in Germany. The magazine Juice selected "Index Finest" as “Demo of the Month”. In early 2006 he began working on a collaborative album with rapper V-Mann, later known as Hiob. Their joint album "Hang zur Dramatik" was released in 2007 via Snuffpro and later re-released through Spoken View. In the same year, he participated with crew members Choleriker and Desert D in the battle rap event "Feuer über Deutschland 2". In 2008 he released his second solo album "Omnipotenz in D-Moll" through Snuffpro. He also appeared for the first time at the hip-hop and reggae festival Splash and took part in the third edition of "Feuer über Deutschland". In the same year, the mixtape "Der leuchtende Pfad" was released as a free download via Snuffpro. After Snuffpro ended its music distribution activities in early 2009, the second collaborative album "Apokalypse Jetzt" was released via Spoken View. Neither Hiob nor Morlockk Dilemma were under exclusive contract with the label. The magazine Juice named "Apokalypse Jetzt" the second-best German-language rap album of 2009. In June 2009 he again performed at Splash, while it was Hiob’s first appearance at the festival. From October 2009, Morlockk Dilemma began hosting the biweekly radio show Bodega on ByteFM. On 1 May 2010 the mixtape "Der eiserne Besen" was released and was named Mixtape of the Month by Juice. The album "Der eiserne Besen 2" followed in 2015. According to Morlockk Dilemma, the series functions as a space for battle rap-focused material, and he stated an intention to more clearly separate battle rap and personal content in future releases. His third solo album, "Circus Maximus", was released on 28 February 2011. Prior to release, there was a copyright issue because the cover contained elements from the illustration of "Amar Pra Viver ou Morrer de Amor (1982)" by Brazilian artist Erasmo Carlos, after which the artwork was changed shortly after release. In 2013 he appeared as a featured artist on the song "Wir reiten ein" from DCVDNS’s album "Der Wolf im Schafspelz". On 28 February 2014 he released the collaborative album "Kapitalismus Jetzt" with Hiob. He also contributed to the song "Das bedeutet Krieg" on Alligatoah’s album "Musik ist keine Lösung". On 13 February 2017 Morlockk Dilemma released the double EP "Hexenkessel" together with producer Brenk Sinatra. On 2 August 2019 the album "Herzbube" was released. Since New Year’s Eve 2019 he has hosted an irregular podcast titled "Kamingeflüster" on his YouTube channel. On 7 November 2025 he released the mixtape "Der Eiserne Besen 3". Studio albums Egoshooter (2003) Index Finest (2006) Omnipotenz in D-Moll (2008) Circus Maximus (2011) Herzbube (2019) Am Grund (2023) Mixtapes Egoshooter (2003) Der leuchtende Pfad (2008) Der eiserne Besen (2010) Der eiserne Besen 2 (2015) Der eiserne Besen 3 (2025)
