About Digitum
Five years after the release of his first solo album, "Electronics for Digestion", which married diverse musical styles, such as electronica, house, and ambient, accomplished musician, diGitum, returns with a new album and new genres. His personal universe shows us impressive diversity with this second release titled, "Horizontale", characterized by a more downtempo style. The artist transports us into a futuristic universe where machines meet the natural, a contrast between organic and synthetic, between action and inaction. For this album, multi-instrumentalist, diGitum, layered all the machines, guitars, and bass, collaborating only with musician Jean-Phillipe Fortier for drum parts harmoniously integrated. Essentially wordless, the titles express themes of religion, crime, the ozone layer, space, nothingness, … you imagine the rest! The title, "Horizontale", refers to the position where one is most naturally inclined to reflect - lying down!
