Detonazione was a post-punk / no wave band from Udine, Italy formed in 1983 by Bruno Romani (vocals, saxophone), Massimo Nicoletti (drums, keyboards), Gianni Brianese (bass), Daniele Marcato (guitar), Annalisa Scroccaro (keyboards), Fabio Scroccaro (percussion, synths), Giorgio Cantoni (noises). The group was born under the wing of social centers, but always found difficulty to establish theirselves in this contest, because they did'nt sound "hardcore". The music is a perfect mixture between the noisy jazz echoes from the no wave area and the tribal post-punk sounds, with a massive storm of synthesizers.
