About Demaree
Demaree’s beginnings are somewhat unique in that her first public performance was not in a school play or performing a church solo but on a Broadway stage. She began her Broadway career at age 8 playing the role of Young Cossette in Les Miserables. Demaree garnered attention for having great vocal control and strength at such a young age. She continued to land leading and supporting roles such as Mary Lennox in The Broadway National Tour of The Secret Garden and Cynthia Benson in The Broadway National Tour of Big, as well as commercial and print work. Though Demaree took a break from the business to experience a “normal” junior and senior year of high-school she continued singing. Demaree always had a love for show-tunes, classical and pop music, but she had also grown up on country music; which led her to Belmont University in Nashville, where she received her degree in music business and worked a session singer. She wrote and recorded her first two original songs in 2008 “Your Eyes” and “Step Out”. Demaree currently resides in Los Angeles. She is looking for co-writers and producers collaborate with on her first EP. Check back for updates and new music in the near future.
