About Deerfield

There's two band with the name Deerfield: 1. Formed in Houston, Texas in 1968, they were originally known as The Dream Machine. Their album, a mixture of country rock and psychedelia, has attracted increasing interest from collectors. It was issued with a letter (in envelope) stuck inside the cover. Charles Bickley is now the owner of a small Austin Texas based label named Buttermilk Records which released several vinyl LP's and 45's in the seventies. in fact he's still releasing 25 year old masters on new vinyl and CD of Texas Blues, Rock, Jazz, Cajun, and more. Members: Charlie Brickley - bass, vocals, mandolin Steve Coleman - lead pedal steel guitar, vocals John Guerry - piano, organ, bass Dennis Hanson - drums Michael Hickman - guitar, piano 2. A mislabeled name of deerfield.. deerfield. was an twinkly emo band from Syracuse, NY.
