About Deathhawk
Deathhawk is a deathrock band from Saint Petersburg, founded in 2021. Tigran had known the frontman of the band Electrozombi, Hoha, for a long time and had assisted him as a makeup artist, costume designer, and photographer in the band Skhima. Tigran inspired Hoha with the idea of creating a deathrock band, and they became permanent members of Deathhawk. The debut release, Обострение (Exacerbation), was released in the summer of 2021, and by December of the same year, the band presented their second EP, Светобоязнь (Photophobia). In early 2022, a split between Deathhawk and Electrozombi was released, featuring two singles, followed by their third EP, Встретимся в могиле (See You in the Grave), in the spring. By the end of 2022, the band had its third drummer change, and saxophonist Pyotr Nikitin joined the lineup. The trio became a quartet, and with the new formation, they recorded the single Праздник (Celebration). After an almost two-year hiatus, Deathhawk released the singles Реквием (Requiem) and Самоконтроль (Self-Control), followed by their first full-length album, Ничто не вечно (Nothing is Eternal). Ironically, it truly turned out to be their last—on October 19, 2024, during a concert in Saint Petersburg, the band announced their breakup. Hoha Ramonov continues performing with Electrozombi, while Tigran became the vocalist for Iron Driver and also created a new musical project, Тщетность (Futility). Despite Deathhawk's disbandment, their music remains a bright phenomenon in the Russian goth scene.
