About Dead Sirius 3000

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN TWO OF THE TOP FINNISH RECORD PRODUCERS HOOK UP WITH A WORLD-RENOWN GUITAR VIRTUOSO? THIS HAPPENS: On September 2011 the dudes decided to head to rural Finland, to a village called 'Häijää'. Their base was a 200-year-old smoke cabin, deep in the forest. The plan mainly was to drink whisky and utilize the sauna, but also play music for fun. To their great surprise, after a few days of radical drinking and sauna the fellows had come up with enough songs to fill an album. Luckily they had their equipment along; Most of the songs were recorded right away in the unique atmosphere and acoustics of the smoke cabin. A band was born. THE STUFF: DEAD SIRIUS 3000 is quite a peculiar mixture of musical styles, but the pulsating heart of their music lies somewhere around straight-forward progressive rock, such as Foo Fighters and Faith No More, but with a distinctive Finnish twist. Petteri proves he can sing as well as play guitar. Jukka and Tapio lay down a symbiotic groove, like brothers should. NEXT: The second album is on its way. Next smoke cabin sessions are scheduled to take place in may 2013.
