About De Tollens
Under the moniker of De Tollens, the Delft-based Berend Tol (born August 22, 1975) writes and records songs every now and then. In 1991, when he was only 16 years old, he recorded his instrumental debut song, entitled "Intro", on a multi-track cassette recorder, playing every instrument himself. His so-called 'signature song' is "In een droom kan alles", from 1995. This is a Dutch song of which the title translates to English as "In a Dream, Everything is Possible". The song features Tol himself on vocals, guitar, keyboard and djembe. In 2015, he released his debut album "Tot Slot" on his own website. It includes a lot of audio recordings of him and his family, and only three actual songs, which are "Intro", "In een droom kan alles" and "All I Can Do". In May 2020, De Tollens joined the roster of Petrol Candy Records, a label run by Thor Kissing. This led to some older singles being released on streaming services. November the same year saw the release of a new single, titled "Tools to Live". On April 29, 2022, De Tollens' sophomore album, titled "367", was released through Petrol Candy Records. Most of the album was produced by Thor Kissing.
