About Days Of Confusion

After almost 2 years of work, Days of Confusion has been brought to life by 5 old friends. Although rooted in metal, D.O.C.'s sonic landscape encompasses a lot of influences, confirming the fact that music has no boundaries! Days of Confusion (ex. Aria) took shape in early 2010, when best friends Cezar Popescu and Cosmin Lupu, started collaborating on a project they have both always dreamed of. They wanted to make music that had passion and attitude, perfectly fitting a landscape built on all their musical influences. The search for other band mates soon began and by February 2010, they found their drummer, Andrei Ilie, an older friend with whom Cezar and Cosmin had previously worked with, on other different projects. By May the basic lineup of the band was complete, with Robert Ursache filling-in on bass. Thus, the nucleus of Aria was born, the only remaining problem being the voice of the band. There were a few vocalists who have joined the band during the first year, but none of them really seemed to fit in. Work on their first demo began in January 2011 and by the end of February, the bass and guitar tracks were done, but the songs were far from finished, as the band continuously struggled to find a vocalist. After numerous attempts with other musicians, Cosmin finally decided to step up to the microphone and assume the role as the band's lead singer, obviously knowing best what the part required. Thus, the complete line-up of Aria was born and the band was able to decidedly resume recordings and finish their work without restrains while also being joined by guitarist Dan Ionescu. Days of Confusion was known as Aria until November 2012, when they decided to change their name to Days of Confusion, alongside the release of Seeds and aside from various club concerts, they were opening acts for Arch Enemy and Accept in Bucharest. Days Of Confusion have just released their debut video for Meta, the band's first single. The song comes off Days Of Confusion's debut EP, Seeds. The graphic concept belongs to Costin Chioreanu and it emphasizes the thoughts and feelings spawned by the human mind, as the music on this EP is based on a collection of the members’ personal experiences. Seeds has been mixed and masterised by Jeffro Lackscheide, who had previously worked with many renowned international artists.
