About Days in Grief

Days In Grief was a 4-pieced emocore-band from Cologne, Germany in 2001. Their breakthrough took place in 2005 when they released the hard-hitting album 'Behind The Curtain Of A Modern Tomorrow', a genious album full of hooks and punches with a political edge from time to time. They have supported bands such as Bullet For My Valentine and My Chemical Romance. And in november 2005 they gained international fame when they supported Rise Against and The Used during the Taste Of Chaos Tour. It's hard to describe DIG's music, but many place it in between highly energetic emocore and agressive hardcore. The vocals switch between melodical and agressive in the blink of an eye. Days In Grief are compared with bands such as Thrice and BoySetsFire but with an intelligent dose of politics. In 2007 Days In Grief announced the end of the band on their website, making the self-titled EP released shortly after this their last new release. Days In Grief is * Jörg Ahrens - vocals, bass * Sebastian Blaschke - Guitar, vocals * Florian Raatz - Guitar * Max Schreiber - Drums Discography * 2002 - Lessons from the Past * 2004 - Portrait of Beauty * 2005 - Behind The Curtain Of A Modern Tomorrow * 2007 - Days In Grief
