DARK TOOTH ENCOUNTER is the latest project from guitarist Gary Arce (Yawning Man / Ten East) and the resulting soundscape is more experimental and dark this time around. From one central source, Arce creates a song by layering the guitar, keyboards and bass to set the vibe and along the way drummer Bill Stinson adds support with tribal drum patterns and heavy rock backbeats. Sound engineer Mike Shear tweaks the sound and using creative sampling and sound manipulation creates an overall raw and ambient trance sound that is Dark Tooth Encounter.
