About Dany Engobo
At eight years, Dany Engobo was already part of the vocal group « Les jeunes Cousins » d’Owando, a town near the Congo Basin. This group was named after a competition, to represent the entire region to a cultural week in Brazzaville. « Les jeunes Cousins » took third place, behind the two prestigious groups of Congo: « Les Cols Bleus » and « Les Anges ». The third place was for the young Dany Engobo reveals his talent and potential it holds. 1973: Always fascinated by music, Dany Engobo is among the first to call the group « Tout choc Zimbabwe » founded by Petrous in Brazzaville. 1974: Dany Engobo created his first band called "Lolango" (Love) when he was fifteen.
