About Danso
Danso is a new UK Hip Hop rapper/producer set to take on the UK urban scene. Danso was born into music; his father was also a music producer but was violently murdered in 1993 which became a notorious case. Never forgetting his past Danso developed a strong passion for music at the age of 11 and started writing lyrics to house and garage, inspired by acts like So Solid. During his teens, like many young people, Danso got into drugs and other illegal activities but his overwhelming drive was to pursue the dream his father never lived. Danso started producing hip hop at the age of 16 and decided to switch up his swagga and start rapping to his own beats, inspired by US rappers including Tupac, Eminem, Ludicrous and other down South rappers. After recording a demo and being picked up by 4Ward management Danso was introduced to Rock/Indie Producer Paul Stacey who loved what he was about and wanted to nurture and develop his talent. Danso learnt various skills to up his game and went back to the drawing board, re-developing his sound and focusing more on song writing. 3 years had passed and Danso was still unsigned, so he decided to leave Forward management. Being back at square one Danso had to go back to the drawing board and find himself as an Artist & Producer. 12 months had passed and by chance networking Danso was introduced to Anya Strafford who worked at Universal Rercods. She listened to his material and Passed it to a Senior A&R at Def Jam/Mercury Records, he also like it and called him in for a meeting. After a few discussions Danso agreed to join MyIsh Inc owned by the A&R and is now working on his Debute album. Now 22, Danso is ready to set the stage alight and prove to critics wrong - that there could be a UK Rapper worthy to take on the US.
