There is more than one artist with the name Damsels in Distress 01. Only being formed in early 2008, Damsels In Distress is a hard hitting, dedicated, punk rock band that has managed to achieve much success and has gained a large fan base that continues to grow rapidly each day. In this short time, Damsels In Distress has managed to play 30+ shows and has recorded and released their first professionally recorded cd at Alchemix Studios and after being mastered by the legendary Dave Neil (Modern Mastering), is available to purchase from various stores and sites on the internet. Two songs from their cd made the triple j unearthed top 100 charts within a few weeks of their launch (Love how you and Don’t close your eyes) reaching 5th and 2nd on the charts respectively. They have played shows ranging from small venues to open festivals in front of hundreds of viewers and have shared the stage with many local and national acts. With such a great start, the future looks promising for Damsels with new shows announced weekly. With their second cd being planned for release mid next year, Damsels In Distress is a band to watch out for. 02. A UK/DE free-improv duo, based around the Cologne scene.
