Derya Bedavacı is a Turkish singer, songwriter, and composer, born on October 11, 1981, in Sivas, Turkey. She is the third of seven children in her family. At a young age, she moved with her family to İzmir, where she completed her primary, secondary, and high school education. During this period, she joined the İzmir Municipality Conservatory's Turkish Classical Music Choir. She later gained admission to the Ege University State Turkish Music Conservatory, where she pursued her undergraduate and master's degrees. Throughout her university years, she continued to perform as a soloist. Derya Bedavacı is married to fellow musician Murat Bedavacı, and they have a daughter named Ada Yağmur. Her experience as a mother inspired her to write her first composition, "Yıllanmış Eşya," shortly after her daughter's birth. This marked the beginning of her focus on songwriting and composing, in addition to her stage performances. She has since composed and written songs for various artists in the Turkish music industry. Known for her emotional depth in lyrics and unique vocal style, Derya Bedavacı has become a prominent figure in Turkish music. She continues to create and perform, captivating audiences with her heartfelt music.
